Bob collects nothing#

Bob does not collect, store or share any personal data. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and it never connects to the internet.

This policy covers the Bob app for iPad and the Bob plug-in (Audio Unit) that comes with it.

What stays on your iPad#

  • Projects. Your patterns, sounds and settings are saved on your iPad, inside Bob's own storage.
  • Imported samples. Audio files you import are copied into storage that only the Bob app and the Bob plug-in can read.
  • Preferences. Choices such as the theme and whether you have seen the tips are kept on your iPad.

None of this leaves your iPad unless you send it. If your iPad backs up to iCloud or a computer, this data is included in that backup, as for any app.

When you share#

When you export a project, it goes only where you choose in the share sheet (Files, AirDrop, Mail and so on). When you use Bob inside another music app, that app saves Bob's state, including the samples the project uses, in its own session. What happens to it then is up to that app.

MIDI#

Bob reads notes from MIDI devices and apps you connect, and sends notes to them, so you can play and record with them. MIDI data is used while you play and is not stored or sent anywhere else.

Children#

Bob collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes and contact#

If this policy changes, the new version will be published here with a new date. For questions, use the contact details on Bob's App Store page.
